In the week from 29.02.2016 – 06.03.2016 TANZMOTO Studio Space hosted special guest, a great choreographer Tamara McLorg. During the week she worked with professional dancers on a topic: “Choreographic ideas and their implementation”. She focused on how the cooperation with choreographer and dancer work and how to discover new moments in artistic work. She gave some ideas where to start when someone is stuck in the workflow and how to carry on. During the weekend she gave an intensive workshop dedicated community dance and proper warm–up called “Create a warm-up training”. Participants had a chance to learn about it, to experience process of own creativity directed by Tamara and to discover this special field of dance. World – renowned choreographer, Tamara shared her wide experience during practical part as well as within theoretical one (discussion and videos with choreographic material analyzing).

Here are some impressions of the Audition day!

 The project started on 2 September with a five-hour workshop and took place in Alter Bahnhof in Essen-Kettwig. This project concentrates on the joint creation, development and performance of an evening-long dance piece in the theatre of Marl. The wheelchair as a vital tool plays a key role and is included in the dance performance in a creative way.  In this project young amateurs – both with and without a wheelchair – will work together with professional dancers.
