Company Description

TANZMOTO Dance Company was founded in 2003. Under the leadership of artistic director Mohan Christopher Thomas. Tanzmoto produces multimedia dance performances for theatres, festivals and event venues. Tanzmoto’s work focuses on the creation of atmospheres through sound, dance and video, involving in the creative process inspiration from the ethnicity of the group. Projects are developed by an intercultural team comprising of musicians, dancers, video, costume and light designers. Tanzmoto’s performances usually incorporate workshops and seminars on movement.

Dance is accompanied by multi media art.
The projects are developed with an intercultural backround of the team- musicians, dancers, video, costume- and light designer.
The artists with different origins create on a professional level to satisfy theiryearning for creation and have fun.
Workshops and seminars about movement are offered combined with guestperformances
The choreographer and artistic director is Mohan Christopher Thomas (regulary dancer with Sasha Waltz, Schaubühne Berlin) His own work is primarily about creating atmospheres and feelings of a variety through sound, dance and video. Those tools are based on mixtures of different ethnic and social systems. Characteristics of these elements are his unique sound creations and the way he moves.
